Susquehanna Community Bank is led by President & CEO David Runk. We are proud to have finished the 4th Quarter of 2017 as the Top Pennsylvania Financial Institution, out of 154 banks, according to a leading industry Bank report. The report ranked by overall performance of 8 different criteria by Financial Management Consulting Group, in addition to being ranked 34th Independent Community Bank in the Nation (ranked by 3-year average return on equity) by American Banker in its May 2018 issue.
Susquehanna Community Bank was founded March 13, 1920, with 201 accounts and resources of $49,000. As our resources grew, so did our success. Our growth has been gradual, but we couldn’t be more proud of where we are today. In 1972 the Bank built a new building, the current location for the West Milton branch, to accommodate the growing staff and emerging needs of our customers. That growth led to the addition of five new branches throughout the years: Lewisburg in 1987, Mifflinburg in 1994, Watsontown in 1997, Beaver Springs in 2005, and Northumberland in 2015. Although the Bank has seen many changes over the last 95+ years, our mission as an independent community bank to “Help Our Family, Friends and Neighbors Succeed” continues to be the same.
We understand that community banking is built on trusted relationships, and our “touch” is personalized, convenient, and responsive. Our dedicated relationship managers deliver exceptional service tailored to the individual business and personal needs of our customers; including commercial, agriculture, mortgages and treasury management solutions.
Susquehanna Community Bank adds value beyond personal service by offering customers convenience through technology. Customers can bank with us from anywhere, at any time with our convenient online solutions such as our online mortgage and consumer loan applications, online banking with bill pay, mobile banking with mobile deposit, Allpoint® ATM network of 55,000+ ATMs worldwide, and remote deposit capture for our business customers. These value added services complement our traditional checking, savings, and loan product offerings.
We’re honored to be involved in all aspects of a family’s financial security, which is why we’ve added identity monitoring and protection as a key feature to our primary checking accounts. Our communities are of utmost importance to us, and we’re proud to serve alongside our neighbors at local events, and volunteer our time to visit area schools to educate students on the importance of financial responsibility. We take great pride in knowing that we’re helping lead children toward a brighter financial future. Through the dedication of our employees, Susquehanna Community Bank is able to positively impact the communities we serve.
We are proud to say that we have helped generations of families with all their financial needs from first savings account as a child, to obtaining a mortgage for your family’s first home, all the way through retirement. We’re here to “help our family, friends and neighbors succeed”.
